Green is a very natural color. It is one of the most common colors in nature, after all, and has a lot of associations with the lovely days of spring and relaxing days of summer.

A green bathroom and make for a space that’s soothing to take a bath in, or a room that is bright and refreshing, perfect for starting out the morning. It all depends on how you want to use it.

Green’s status as a cooler, non-primary color (left side of the color wheel) means you have a lot of different kinds of green to choose from. A modern green bathroom can use only one shade, or you can play with utilizing different ones in the same space.
So many themes can be based around a shade of green. Green is simply such a fun color. You should try to have some fun with it!
Shades of Green
Green bathroom décor will convey different moods depending on which green you use. Let’s go into some of what greens work for what atmosphere.
Cool and soothing greens typically have blue undertones. This is the green that you should use to make your bathroom more calming. Olives and mossy greens have a more muted, natural feel.
Softer shades convey a coziness while remaining very cool. Sea foam greens, with their light blue undertones, brighten a green bathroom while soothing cares away.
Brighter greens, on the other hand, are invigorating rather than calming. These greens have a more yellow undertone. Neon green is usually too bright, but more saturated and yellowy versions of that color like pea green or apple green may be perfect for creating a lively, morning sort of space.
Not every shade of green is going to work well in a bathroom. While the aforementioned neon green is an obvious ‘don’t’, even darker shades tend not to work.
Dark green with deep blue undertones tend to be too somber to work well in a bathroom. They also make already small spaces feel even smaller, and bathrooms are usually fairly small rooms.
How to Accent Green
Use you accent colors wisely. You don’t want to interrupt the feeling you’re trying to convey by using green. One of green’s great draws as a color is the sense of harmony it bring to space.

Bright reds are a complementary color to green, that’s true, but they can easily overwhelm the eye and throw the desired harmony into chaos. Purple and burgundy are a good choice if you’re looking to use tones of red, as they have them but not overwhelmingly so.
More subdued red shades, like terracotta, are also excellent. Yellows and blues also work very well, often with less risk of visual disharmony because all greens have yellow and blue undertones to some degree.
Green Bathroom Sinks, Vanities, and Baths
While a lively green bathroom sink might be tempting, it’s not the best idea. The large elements of your bathroom should be kept neutral so you can redecorate the space if you want to without too much expense.
Green bathroom vanities and baths should be thematically matched if possible, however, and off-whites look very good with most greens. Green and white is a very classical bathroom scheme that can save you a lot of expense if you are on a budget.
Green Bathroom Faucets and Fixtures
Green bathroom faucets and fixtures should complement the overall feel you are creating withy our use of green. Chrome and nickel are cooler, whereas bronze can provide a nice warm accent.
J.P. Lindstrom, Inc.
Silver tones are more modern looking while gold ones tend to be fit more with an old world theme. Figure out what feel you want before you pick out fixtures.
Green Bathroom Cabinets
Like the fixtures, you bathroom cabinets should complement the use of green in your bathroom. A warmer wood can provide some much needed contrast in your cool bathroom. Try to use natural looking stains, as they help cement the naturalistic feel that comes with using green.
Green Bathroom Lighting
Your lighting should generally be quite bright, both from the practical standpoint of bathroom use and because green can all too quickly become a dark color. Bright lighting will show off the greens you use to their best effect.
Anthony Wilder Design/Build,Inc.
Warmer lighting is more soothing, too, and will keep the room from seeming to cold, which is always a risk when using cooler colors.
Green Bathroom Accessories
Green bathroom decorations are a great way to add green to your bathroom if you are on a budget or painting is not an option. It is a very easy color to find all sorts of accessories in, from green frog themed pieces to green modernistic patterns.

Green bathroom mirrors should be chosen based on your wall color. If your bathroom walls are painted green, you should try to find a mirror with a contrasting frame, either gold, bronze, or terracotta red.
Karen Beam Architect LLC
Try to avoid darker frames, as they make little impression against a green wall. Against a white wall, look for green framed mirrors.
Green bathroom shower curtains can be a wonderfully ay to tie a theme together. If you have a green bathroom done up in a tropical style, see if you can find shower curtains with a jungle scene. If you’ve decided to decorate with frogs or flowers, use one that matches the theme.

Green bathroom wall décor can give a touch of life to even plain walls. Green décor tends to be funky and lively, so it’s usually a great addition to a simple or close space. Look for green bathroom wall décor with interesting textures that lend different shades to the same hue of green.
